What does a painting that took 7 years to complete look like? Take a very famous photograph of the most iconic figure in baseball. The photo features Babe Ruth in a small town train-stop along a barnstorming trip amidst a sea of children. The Sultan of Swat is in the eye of this youthful storm wearing his best boater hat and a coat and tie. Even out of uniform his mug is unmistakable and his presence is commanding. Coming across this photo in books over the years led to a curiosity as to the stories of the children as much as a story about the Babe. What if we knew these children? What if we knew some of the tales that these children's lives told from that brush with baseball immortality? What if one of these kids went on to be a baseball legend themselves..what if all of them did? The Babe Ruth and Kids Painting took seven years of collection and replacement. Photographs of as many baseball Hall of Famers that didn't play with the King of Crash have been carefully placed in the stead and attire of the unknown children that were there in history. 56 Hall of Famers in total comprise the sea of children. Can you pick some of them out with out looking at the key? There are no slights. Players were only omitted if in those seven years a photo could not be found. It is the culmination of a lot of hours sifting through photos and player biographies. Thanks to Eric Enders for his invaluable assistance while at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Currently owned by the Steve Sax Foundation. All proceeds goes to the foundation. *The last similar painting of Babe Ruth sold for over $475k. We're going to the beach this weekend and I wanted a couple of tumblers to keep our drinks cold. My husband suggested I look at Yeti alternatives due to the price. 2) RTIC holds up to Yeti! - I originally bought a RTIC tumbler strictly because it was half the price and seem to be identical to the Yeti. Once it arrived it looked great and seemed to work as advertised. However, I am a very curious person so I bought the Yeti to compare.

If I didn’t compare the two tumblers I would have given the RTIC 4 stars because it doesn’t fit my cup holder as it claimed it would better than the Yeti. In fact for my truck the Yeti fit my cup holder perfectly. The reason I still gave it the RTIC 5 stars is because the main reason someone is going to buy this tumbler is for getting there beverage cold and at that mission it succeeds very well.

For a more in-depth review I compared them in a video, even performing a 6 hour ice water challenge to the performance of both because in all honestly why would I need my cup to hold cold water for over 2 days? =)

1) magic silicone laces! - Where have these been all my life?! Wow. Amazing shoe"laces".... put these in my son's shoes and like magic, he is now self sufficient with his shoes! They are simple to put in, stay in place while playing/running around on the playground.... these are just amazing. If you are even considering these, buy them. They look like "real" laces, fit great, and are very economical.

2) Fantastic invention! - These are so AWESOME! I never knew something like this existed before and am so glad to have found them! I am one of those people who hate to tie their shoes, but I love my Chucks. I hate the way it looks to have a knot and bow at the top, and usually tuck the lace ends in. Unfortunately, the lace ends never stay in, no matter what I've tried to keep them in the side (see my second picture, the left shoe shows the lace end starting to slide out). They always slide out and I'm so nit-picky and do not like the unclean look. These are exactly what I needed! I posted pictures of some of the patterns that came with the laces. There is also another type of weave that I will try next. I really like these and will definitely purchase them when I need more. They are flexible and pretty easy to fit into the lace holes. Also, because they are some kind of rubbery silicon plastic type material, they will probably be super easy to clean and keep shiny white :)

The only downside I could think of is that the side anchors could be annoying if you have shoes on the smaller side (which I do). I can feel the anchors on one side of the shoe in one of my feet (I'm guessing either the shoes aren't exactly the same size, or my feet aren't lol). They don't bother me, but I can feel it there.

I do a lot of my household shopping online, and rely HEAVILY on reviews. I deeply appreciate all the help from others, so I do my best to share helpful tips and warnings with my fellow shoppers.
